I am going to try to summarize it the best I can. Received the mat on Tuesday late afternoon. Set it up and laid down directly onto it wearing a t-shirt and sweatpants (no socks). Within minutes I started feeling a tingling all over my body; it got a little intense, however, never painful. I got off after about 45 minutes and the tingling continued. Then, before going to bed, I set the mat under my fitting sheet. Went to sleep with the same clothes. About 4 hours later, I woke up and went to the bathroom; half-way I stopped and turned around and looked at the bed realizing I just got out of the bed "like a normal person!!!". I will explain: for the past 2 years, getting out of bed has been an ordeal: Push my torso up with both arms, "tell" my legs to move to the side of the bed, gently push my torso further up while rotating towards the outside of the bed while the legs gently rotate in the same direction and land on the floor; then pushing with my legs and arms, I finally stand up and immediately my hands go to my lower back to hold it and I start stretching and rotating my lower back. This time, I just got out of bed without thinking or executing my routine!! Just after 4 hours on the mat. My surprise did not end there. I was so happy and mesmerized that I could not go back to sleep (it was like 2:30 am), so I went to my computer room and started web-surfing and doing some work. I have a stand up desk because for the past 3 to 5 years, I cannot sit down for relatively long periods of time without my lower back suffering, and I have been wearing back braces, 24 x 7, for the past 6 months. At any rate, after about 90 minutes in the internet, I realized that I did not have a back brace on me nor I was in pain!! Just after 4 hours on the mat!!! Simply amazing!! Day 2 with the mat, the tingling in my body is practically gone. I also fell asleep like a rock last night! It was like if I was under general anesthesia. I never heard my wife coming into the bedroom, change the tv channel or when she turned it off. This time I slept with cotton shorts (with underwear, of course!) and a cotton t-shirt. The mat is under the fitting sheet. My body feels “different” in a good way. I am enjoying the ability to wake up and get out of the bed like a "normal" person, something I have not been able to do for several years. It is fascinating to "feel a flow" through the parts of your body that are in touch with the mat. Also, I have been able to feel some small "twitching" of the muscles relaxing in different parts of my body, mainly on my lower back, which is my most troublesome area. I have also been in touch with Grounded Beauty, Ultimate Longevity and the Earthing Institute and they all have been very helpful and courteous. In just 2 days, I am a totally satisfied customer!! I just ordered the Everything Mat for my business travelings, so I can continue the therapy uninterrupted. End of the first week: the feeling of well-being continues to improve with every day use of the mat. I have not worn any of my back braces since the day after I received the mat, except for when I have to lift anything heavier than 20 lbs (I need to strengthen the lower back muscles) . Three of my 4 braces are also traction devices (I was diagnosed with compressed lumbar discs). I stopped that treatment too after day 2 with the mat. In general, I feel more energetic and clearer minded. Also, calmer and more relaxed. I also sleep better. I have also noticed that when I use my cellphone, tablet, back massager (I used it once after I got the mat) or any electrical device, and I lay on the mat, I can feel with more intense the tingling rushing through my body; it feels like electronic devices "re-charge" me and then the mat "discharges me". I ordered the "Everything" mat and a one Patches kit to further enhance my earthing treatment through out the day and when I travel on business. I have yet received those items. I am a very happy customer. The folks at Ultimate Longevity have been, and continue to be, very helpful and attentive with me. My blood pressure and pulse rate went further down (I am on meds). The decrease was such that my doctor told me to stop taking the meds (I have been on HBP meds for more than 15 years). I got a little apprehensive about doing it, so I asked if we could reduce the dose by half and see what happens; my doctor agreed. So, I started my new dose last night and I will update in a few weeks. 4 days ago I received the Everything mat and I placed it on the floor by my laptop standing desk. So when I am working or surfing the internet, I am also in therapy. Today marks one week without taking my blood pressure Rx and I could not be happier!! My bp is around 120/80 (from 100/60 with the Rx), with spikes never exceeding 130/85. My pulse rate went from 65 to 80 bpm, with spikes up to 95 (the Rx lowered the heart rate and did not allow it to go above 80). Something else, I have never been an exercise-lover person; however, I just started walking on my treadmill and I have been doing 30 minutes (@ 2.2 mph) without even thinking about it!! Before, at 5 minutes I was ready to throw-in the towel!! I just cannot believe how much my life has improved since I got the Mats and now the patches. It's Getting Better All The Time!
